The Vision

From their earliest childhood memories, Andy and Rita Kay Isaacs wanted to live
in the country, raise animals and live a country way of life. Little did they know their childhood dreams would lead them into a full-time faith-based restoration ministry.

Andy and Rita Kay were living in a suburb of Dallas, Texas raising a family, when the vision began growing in their hearts and minds. Few understood their longings and desires, but God's purpose for their lives was being revealed one miracle after another. Praying and seeking God's will, the dream of a ranch ministry became alive in their spirits. Feeling the call of God on their lives to be instruments of hope, love and encouragement, they were led specifically to a beautiful place in Milano, Texas.

When they purchased the current 166 acre ranch, there was a simple pole barn and working pens - precious little for a viable camp ministry. One day at a time with the love and support of God's people, Morning Star Ranch has become a reality.

        Our Goal is to provide:

  •  An affordable facility in a secluded, peaceful ranch environment for individuals, families, and organizations

  • Leadership training by applying Bible-based principals through spiritual and recreational activities.

  • An outreach to youth whose families cannot afford the expense of sending them to camp

  • A special place for Pastors and Missionaries who need a time of rest and restoration

GOD IS ON THE MOVE!

In September 2019, a faithful volunteer heard about a lady in Hutto named Judy that was giving away a covered arena. She took Andy to meet Judy. When Judy heard about our teen program she gave us the following items that are to be dismantled and reconstructed at MSR.

    •100 x 200 ft. arena, 100 feet is covered
and it is enclosed on two sides
    •16 stall horse barn
    •3 portable storage buildings
    •2 large out buildings

Update:  All of the above has been moved to MSR.  We are still needing volunteers to help reconstruct/remodel the buildings.

 Dear Friends,

Our team is expanding!  We are excited to announce Leah Driesenga, from Michigan, as our full time youth Coordinator!  Leah has a deep love for Jesus and for children.  This powerful love enables her to have a profound effect on everyone around her.  She has faithfully volunteered here since she was 11 years old and is now working on increasing communication and expanding close contact to our teen campers.  Leah is a huge blessing and we are so grateful to have her here.  As you may know, MSR has been hosting 4-day retreats for veterans that are recovering from PTSD at Camp Hope in Houston.  To our delight, God is expanding our "Give Back to Vets" program to include retreats for lady veterans that are receiving help with PTSD through Camp Shield in Houston.  We are excited and honored to announce that we will host 4 retreats this year for the veterans who have sacrificed so much for each of us.  It is amazing to watch the peace and joy they experience as each one grooms and falls in love with the horse they have been assigned.  We will include this mission in the 2023 Telethon.  So this year you will again have the option to donate to the therapeutic retreats.
Many thanks to volunteers who make calls and those who graciously donated to our telethon.  Because of your faithfulness, we encouraged over 100 teens, made it through the high electric bills this summer and were able to make needed repairs and upgrades to our facilities.  God has achieved great things through your donations.  Many children and adults now know that God has a plan for their lives.  A plan that will give them hope and a future.
Thanks to the love of Dalace Duvall and his team we made $7,377.05 on the Diamond Wishes Children's Charity Auction.   God bless Gary Rope for introducing us to Dalace.  Mark your calendars for the next auction on . Do your Christmas shopping and it is all tax deductible.

We are planning four more great ETS Trail Ride Competition weekends this year.
